Akbar's Din-i-Illahi recognized no prophets. It overthrew almost every ceremonial rule whether Islam or Muslim, but took the good ideas from the Brahmins as well as from the missionaries and adopted "Sun as a symbol of the worship of the creator. This new cult featured: Forbade cow eating, Indifference among all Indians, Instituted worship of Sun as creator, Incorporated the sacred fire adored by the Parsis, Encouraged the Havana (hom sacrifice) of the Hindus. The emperor was ahead of his times in creating such cult but this cult eventually died with him.
