- The ration between Binoy's and Alisha's present ages is 5:6 respectively. Three years hence the ratio between their ages will be 6:7 respectively. What was Alisha's age eight years ago ?

Explanation :
Let the present ages of Binoy and Alisha be 5x and 6x years respectively.
After 3 years.
(5x+3)/6x+3) = 6/7
=>36x + 18 = 35x + 21
=> x = 21 - 18
=>x = 3
Alisha's age eight years ago = 6x - 8
= 6 * 3 - 8
=10 years
